5 APPS WE USE WHILE RVING

5 Apps We Use While RVing

Apps can be very helpful as an RVer but there are so many out there that you can go down a rabbit hole pretty quickly and get overwhelmed! We put together a list of the top 5 we use to make RVing a little simpler!
Campendium RV & Tent Camping

Campendium

This is the app we use the MOST! We are all about free camping and we have found some EPIC spots in National Forests and BLM land in close proximity to popular National Parks. Their app is user friendly and the community behind it is very large so site information is usually pretty detailed and up to date! Details include: price, hoop up availability, cell phone coverage, big rig capability, tents allowable. Campendium isn't just for free camping though, their app also has listed: RV Parks, Overnight Parking and Dump Station sections.

RV LIFE

We just started using this one but I am already in love with it! Why? Because it integrates really well with RV Trip Wizard. RV Trip Wizard is a web-based RV route planner that we use to help us plan the really important areas we want to go see. RV Life now has the trip wizard integrated in it, so I can just pull up our route on my phone without having to open my MacBook!
This app has so much more though! It has an RV Safe GPS, RV Related Articles & map filters that include everything from Park Types to WIFI Availability to Hookup Options.

AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run

AllTrails

Have you ever pulled into the destination you were so excited to go to, you set up your RV site and then have no CLUE what hikes you actually want to do?
This is the app for you!!!
It pulls up top trails nearby and gives you the length of the trail, the elevation gain and user reviews! Their map feature allows you to search trails as well so this app is great to scope out any hiking trails you might want to do in the future. There is also a paid version of the app that allows you to download trail maps so you can still use it without cell service!

Allstays

This app has been around for a long time and is very popular with RVers. It is a paid app and has a lot of filters so that you can find camping, boondocking, pull offs, truck stops, Walmart parking and even bridge clearances. You can even narrow your search more by selecting preferences like Membership RV Parks, pet friendliness, laundry availability, RV repair and much more. All around great app to have in your RV app toolbox!

RV Parky

This app (alongside AllStays and RV Life) is the app I use to find dump stations and overnight parking. Since we do a lot of boondocking, it's important for us to know where we can dump along our trip. It's also important to have a list of possible safe overnight pull off areas when traveling in case anything happens along the way.

RV LIFE - RV GPS & Campgrounds

I hope you enjoyed our list!
We tend to use them all in conjunction with one another because Full Time RV Living can have many variables. These apps really help us plan, create & modify our travels as we go. It's nice to have them available at the touch of a button!
